The University‘s dormitories are available for accommodation during your studies.

In total KTU has 12 dormitories where all undergraduate, master‘s and PhD students, as well as University guests and staff may be accommodated. From 2013, dormitory No. 5 is announced an International Residence. However, international students also live in dormitories No. 2, No. 7, No. 8 (new) and others.

All the rooms (single or double) are equipped with all the necessary furniture for life and studies: a bed, a chair, a desk and a wardrobe. For international students bedding is provided. There is a kitchen with a cooker, a hob, fridge freezer and meal preparing area. All the residents of the dormitories have the Internet access. Also, free laundry and drying facilities are available on the site.
The monthly rent prices at KTU student dormitories are fixed.

How to pay a deposit for dormitory?

Once you arrive to the dormitory, the dormitory manager will issue the deposit payment invoice. For this case you should indicate your name, surname, personal id number, address and telephone number. Students should pay the deposit via bank transfer. Use the internet bank. After making a payment students must provide the dormitory manager with Bank statement.

What is the price of deposit?

The price of deposit depends on the room the student chooses to live in.

95 EUR for a single room.
110 EUR for one person living in a double room.
95 EUR per person for two people living in a double room.
125 EUR for one person living in a triple room.
110 EUR per person for two people living in a triple room.
 95 EUR per person for three people living in a triple room.

What is the fee of accomodation per month?

80 EUR for a single room.
98 EUR for one person living in a double room.
72 EUR per person for two people living in a double room.
106 EUR for one person living in a triple room.
84,5 EUR per person for two people living in a triple room.
63 EUR per person for three people living in a triple room.

How to pay for the accomodation in the dormitory?

Student gets an invoice and transfer money via bank transfer. After making a payment students must provide the dormitory manager with Bank statement.

When is the deadline to pay for the accomodation in the dormitory?

25th day of the current month.

Are utilities and the internet fee included in the price?

Yes.

What kind of furniture can I find at the dormitory room?

Beds with mattress, a desk, a night stand with drawers, a closet and chairs are provided in the room. Also, there are various extra pieces of furniture in individual rooms.

What kind of Internet access can I find at the dormitory?

Cable.

How long does it take to activate the internet at the dormitory room?

It takes about a week. Students need to sign an application form for the internet usage. The application form will be provided by dormitory manager.

Can I find a mini fridge in my dormitory room?

Yes, but not in all dormitory rooms. Foreign students can use two fridges at the ground floor kitchens.

Do I need to bring my own bed linen?

You will get a pillow, a duvet, sheets, covers and a towel.

What kind of kitchenware can I find at the dormitory?

You will find pots, pans, silverware, plates, cups, bowls, microwave and other utensils at the ground floor kitchens.

Does the dormitory have a laundry room?

Yes, you can wash your clothes for free. You can also dry and iron your clothing there.

What are the opening hours for the dormitory?

Dormitory residents can enter the dormitory 24/7.

If a student wants to invite a friend to visit him/her at the dormitory, the guests can stay at the dormitory from 8 a.m. till 11 p.m. (Monday – Wednesday and Sunday) and from 8 a.m. till 12 p.m. (Thursday – Saturday).

Guests are registered at the guest book and students take responsibility of their invited guests.

Can I print or photocopy at the dormitory?

Yes, you can.

A4 print/photocopy costs 0,10 EUR
A3 print/photocopy costs 0,15 EUR

Extra information

The dormitory has a gym, a table tennis and bicycle storage premises. Students use shared kitchens, showers, basins and toilets system.
