Traditional Turkish Arts Creative Workshop

We invite the KTU community to take part in a unique cultural event – creative workshop on traditional Turkish arts. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore Turkey’s cultural heritage up close and try your hand at ancient craft traditions, guided by experienced art specialists.

Time: 11:00 am–1:00 pm
Location: KTU Student Campus Library

During the workshops, participants will have the chance to discover different forms of traditional art:

• the art of bookbinding,
• katı (paper cutting) technique,
• ebru (painting on water) art,
• the art of miniature painting.

The sessions will be led by art experts:

• Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sacit Açıkgözoğlu (Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University),
• Dr. Yasin Çakmak (Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University),
• Dr. Selda Kavas Afacan (Aydın Adnan Menderes University),

• Yasemin Tekin (Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University).
