My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentorship program: My motivation is purely rooted in a desire to support students as they navigate their academic and career decisions. Having experienced significant career transitions, international relocation at age 27, and growth within competitive professional environments from developing country and Western countries, I understand the value of guidance, perspective, and encouragement at critical stages of development.
If I had a mentor to talk me through, I would have achieved what I have now a few years ago.
My personal goal is to help them build clarity, confidence, and practical skills that prepare them for the realities of the workplace and life, generally. I also see mentorship as a two-way learning process, where I can continue to grow as a leader by listening, sharing experiences, and contributing meaningfully to the next generation of professionals.
