Deep Parsana

Cooko Gmbh | Head of Special Projects

Previous workplaces and positions: Currently, I serve as Head of Special Projects at COOKO GmbH in Germany, a company dedicated to transforming the cocoa industry for good. In this role, I lead high-impact projects across Africa (Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, and beyond), where we combine technology, innovation, and business strategy to eliminate inefficiencies and empower smallholder farmers. My responsibilities involve launching new business verticals, handling cross-border operations under complex conditions, building partnerships with governments and NGOs, and representing the company at international forums. Essentially, I act as an internal founder for 0-to-1 initiatives, ensuring that vision translates into operational success.

Before stepping into this leadership role, I worked my way up through various project management positions at COOKO in Germany, Côte d’Ivoire, and Cameroon. These years taught me resilience, adaptability, and cultural intelligence—managing diverse teams, navigating regulatory landscapes, and ensuring projects deliver measurable outcomes on time and within budget. My earlier career as a Structural Designer in Spain and Construction Manager in India sharpened my analytical and problem-solving skills, while also grounding me in the discipline of engineering and project execution.

What truly defines me, however, is my ability to work at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and people. From being Chairman of The Group of Creation (TGC) in India—leading board-level governance and decision-making—to mentoring young professionals in project teams, I have always believed in lifting others while driving growth. My certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, and Project Management complement this approach, equipping me to manage complexity with clarity and creativity.

I am deeply committed to cross-cultural collaboration. Having lived, studied, and worked in Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America, I understand the power of diverse perspectives. Whether in boardrooms in Berlin, farms in West Africa, or classrooms in Lithuania, I strive to connect with people meaningfully and create solutions that serve both business and society.

In short, I bring strategic vision, international experience, and a passion for mentorship—qualities that I believe will make me a strong and impactful contributor to the KTU Student Mentor Program.

Strong personal qualities: I bring with me a unique combination of academic knowledge and professional experience that bridges engineering, international business, and global supply chain transformation. I completed my Master’s degree in Structural Engineering and Building Materials from Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) and later pursued further specialization in International Business Management at California State University, San Bernardino. This blend of technical and managerial education has given me the tools to operate confidently across both engineering and international trade ecosystems.

Expectations for students: I expect learners to actively engage in the mentorship process with openness and curiosity, coming prepared with clear questions and goals. They should take ownership of their personal and professional growth by applying guidance into practice and reflecting on outcomes. A respectful, honest, and proactive attitude will help us build a productive relationship where learning flows both ways. Ultimately, I hope mentees use this program not only to gain knowledge but also to develop confidence in exploring global opportunities and shaping their future careers.

My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentorship program: As a KTU Student Mentor, I want to share not only professional insights but also personal lessons about adaptability, resilience, and global citizenship. My journey from Gujarat, India, to international leadership has been shaped by education, mentorship, and a willingness to embrace challenges. I believe I can inspire students to think bigger, aim higher, and prepare themselves for opportunities beyond borders.

At the same time, I see mentorship as a two-way learning process. Engaging with students who come from different backgrounds, perspectives, and ways of thinking will challenge me to expand my own mindset. Their curiosity and fresh outlook can inspire me to discover new approaches, strengthen my knowledge, and stay connected to continuous learning.
