Areas of expertise and career experience:
Areas of expertise: medical physics, radiotherapy, MR-Linac and Gamma Knife technologies, radiotherapy planning and optimisation, dosimetry, radiation protection, medical image analysis, the application of artificial intelligence in oncology, scientific research, and higher education studies.
Career experience: more than ten years of experience in medical physics and radiotherapy. I work as an Expert Medical Physicist at Kauno klinikos, and I am also an Associate Professor and researcher at KTU. I conduct scientific research, prepare publications, participate in conferences, supervise students’ final theses, and contribute to the implementation of new radiotherapy technologies in clinical practice.
Expectations for students: I expect a motivated, curious, and proactive student who is ready to learn, accept feedback, and consistently pursue their personal and professional goals.
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentorship programme: I want to share my professional and scientific experience, help students plan their careers with greater confidence, balance work and studies, and make important professional decisions. I believe that mentoring is a process of mutual growth that provides an opportunity not only to share knowledge, but also to develop as a leader and strengthen the KTU community.
