Strong personal qualities:
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentoring program: Belonging to a military family, I am the first one in my family to pursue a career in Engineering and growing up, I had no one to guide me on how to pursue my professional goals and aspirations. Due to the lack of guidance i know what i feels like to be in a confused state of mind of what to do and where to go. The main motivation to become a career mentor here at KTU is to make sure that no one has to walk this difficult and challenging path alone but rather through a support system. As a career mentor, I want to guide my young students and to share my experiences with them so that they don’t make the same mistakes that I made and to be able to guide students in striving toward their future career goals.
Hobbies and other information about me: I have spent a lot of time overseas and worked in different areas of the world and in different fields and I gained a lot of valuable and priceless experience that I want to share with my students. I also used be a pro-golfer competing at the highest level for my country before i left it in pursuit of my career as an Engineer.
