Areas of expertise and career experience: Everything related to programming and working in companies, both large organisations and startups. I have held a variety of roles, including software engineer, product manager, designer, and others.
I am also an educator, mentor, and public speaker. I share my experience at conferences, travel, and contribute to open-source initiatives. Therefore, I can also share my experience and help students develop their soft skills.
Expectations for students: Motivation, enthusiasm, and a desire to achieve more than simply attend university and earn a degree.
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentorship programme: As mentioned, I have mentored others before, so mentoring itself is not new to me. However, I have not yet had an opportunity to mentor in Lithuania, and I would like to contribute to the growth of local talent and help young professionals launch their careers.
I feel that I now have a strong understanding of both the labour market and the specifics of my field. I therefore have the skills and knowledge to share insights that could support a developing professional in their growth.
Interests and other information about me: In my free time, I work on personal projects, travel, speak at conferences, and teach others. During the warmer months, I enjoy disc golf and running.
