Areas of expertise and career experiences: Technology in a wide context – from conventional heat, electrical and automation systems (design, erection, maintenance) to new wave of startup businesses – life sciences, IoT etc. During my career I was mostly working with internal processes of major companies, partnering board members, solving questions related to developing projects and new business ideas, sourcing new specialists and other challenges related to full chain of events of a new start-up.
Strong personal qualities: Entrepreneurship, outside-the-box thinking, idea generation, team management, planning, leadership.
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentoring program: During almost a decade after my graduation and employment I had learned the importance of knowing meaningful entrepreneurship and business administration skills as well as common economical know-how. All of these are key in allowing one to understand and acknowledge his/her position in the processes of a company, why you are needed, what value do you bring, and how you ensure the internal mechanisms keep on turning. This allows for a new and somewhat unconventional view into your work, employment, your position, skills, and values that are demanded by leaders in the corporate structures, and how a person can benefit from all that.
Having learned all of that I am continuing in sharing my experience with new colleagues. I acknowledge that the know-how that I now posses is extremely valuable at the start of the career, as it is the best time to start making the right choices. And if there is someone willing to guide you through the tedious labyrinths of the business word – the better. As a result, I would be happy to guide a willing person and provide my experience in order to help the students make the right decisions at the right time.
