Areas of expertise and career experience: I have been working at the Biomedical Engineering Institute for 10 years. I began my professional journey here while I was still a Bachelor’s student, so I am very familiar with the entire academic career path, from Bachelor’s and Master’s studies through to doctoral studies. My main areas of expertise are biomedical signal analysis and the development of data analysis algorithms and models. I have experience in planning and conducting scientific research, analysing data, preparing scientific publications, and presenting research results.
Personal strengths: I am able to stay focused on my work, and I am responsible, thorough, and attentive to detail. An extra space left in a text definitely will not escape my notice.
Expectations for students: I expect a motivated, curious mentee who is eager to develop. Most importantly, they should be willing to learn, unafraid to ask questions, and open to feedback.
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentoring programme: I would like to spark young people’s interest in research and biomedical engineering, share my experience, and help them discover possible career paths.
Interests and other information about me: I hold a PhD, but once I leave the Institute, I am happy to swap my computer for hiking boots and set off on a journey. The best trips are those where winding roads lead into the mountains and a mountain lake is waiting somewhere along the way.
