Areas of expertise and career experience: public sector, law, criminal sanctions enforcement system, strategic management, work organisation, coordination of internal processes, drafting legislation and internal documents, employee representation, professional communication, negotiations, leadership, organisational change, and international cooperation.
I have worked in the criminal sanctions enforcement system since 2006. I have extensive experience in organisational work, coordinating internal processes, drafting legislation and internal documents, and participating in strategic management, performance improvement, and interinstitutional projects.
I am the Chair of the Probation Service Trade Union, a branch of the Lithuanian Law Enforcement Officers’ Federation. I represent employees’ interests and participate in negotiations, committee activities, international meetings, conferences, and seminars. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in International Business.
Personal strengths: responsibility, empathy, initiative, analytical thinking, attention to detail, perseverance, strong communication skills, the ability to listen, resolve complex situations constructively, and represent the interests of others.
Expectations for the mentee: I expect the mentee to be open to dialogue and ready to actively engage in the mentoring process. It is important to me that they are able to express their expectations, visions, questions, and doubts, are willing to accept feedback, try new things, and occasionally allow themselves to step outside their comfort zone. I value a genuine desire to learn from experience, open and warm communication, active involvement, and responsibility for one’s own professional development.
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentoring programme: by participating in the mentoring programme, I want to help people at the beginning of their careers better understand their strengths, make decisions with greater confidence, and realistically assess their professional opportunities. Rather than providing ready-made answers, I aim to help the mentee independently discover the direction that suits them best, strengthen their self-confidence, and develop their ability to advocate for their own interests.
At the same time, I see the programme as an opportunity for my own development, to better understand the expectations of the younger generation, learn from different experiences, and make a meaningful contribution to another person’s professional growth.
Interests and other information about me: I am interested in travelling, hiking in the mountains, the cultures of different countries, human rights, social developments, and professional growth. I enjoy learning new things and communicating with people of different ages and professional backgrounds.
