Areas of expertise: the public sector, law, the criminal sanctions enforcement system, strategic management, work organisation, coordination of internal processes, drafting legislation and internal documents, employee representation, professional communication, negotiations, leadership, organisational change, and international cooperation.
Career experience: I have worked in the criminal sanctions enforcement system since 2006. I have extensive experience in organising work, coordinating internal processes, drafting legislation and procedures, and participating in strategic management, performance improvement, and interinstitutional projects. I am a member of the governing body of the Lithuanian Law Enforcement Officers’ Federation and Chair of the Probation Service Trade Union, one of its branches. I represent employees’ interests and participate in negotiations, committee activities, international meetings, conferences, and seminars. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in International Business.
Personal strengths: Responsibility, empathy, initiative, analytical thinking, perseverance, strong communication skills, the ability to listen, resolve complex situations constructively, and represent the interests of others. I also have a strong sense of justice, curiosity, an ability to collaborate, and a desire for continuous improvement.
Expectations for students: I expect the mentee to be open to dialogue, curious, and ready to participate actively in the mentoring process. It is important to me that they are able to express their expectations, questions, and concerns, remain open to feedback, and put the solutions discussed into practice. I expect mutual respect, sincerity, commitment to agreements, and responsibility for their own professional development.
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentorship programme: By participating in the mentoring programme, I want to help people at the beginning of their careers recognise their strengths, make decisions with greater confidence, and assess their professional opportunities realistically. Rather than providing ready-made answers, I aim to help the mentee independently discover the direction that suits them best, strengthen their self-confidence, and develop their ability to advocate for their own interests.
I also see the programme as an opportunity to grow personally, better understand the expectations of the younger generation, learn from different experiences, and make a meaningful contribution to another person’s professional development.
Interests and other information about me: I am interested in travelling, hiking in nature, the cultures of different countries, human rights, social developments, and professional growth. I enjoy learning new things and communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
