Previous workplace and position: Litgrid AB – Head of the System Equipment Maintenance Department
Areas of expertise and career experience: I oversee all power grid maintenance activities at UAB Tetas, where many electrical engineering students discover their career path and grow into professionals in the field.
My areas of expertise include the design of power grids up to 400 kV, including overhead lines, substations, and their relay protection and automation (RPA) systems; the organization of maintenance and repair of power grids up to 400 kV; the organization of maintenance and repair of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems; and the organization of synchronous condenser maintenance.
Expectations for students: A desire to pursue a career in the energy sector.
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentoring programme: I continuously gain new ideas, fresh perspectives, and valuable experience from younger-generation students.
