Areas of expertise and career experience
IT, software development with a strong focus on leadership, and coaching.
Throughout my career, I have worked in different types of organisations:
• I started my career at a state-owned company, Registrų centras.
• I later moved to the service company Intermedix, where I experienced teamwork and international collaboration with colleagues from the United States for the first time.
• I continued my career at the client-focused company Zenitech, where I experienced the greatest leap in my personal and professional development – in technical knowledge, client communication skills, and leadership.
• Another important step in my career was Dechea, where I saw for the first time how properly applied Agile methodology can transform an otherwise ordinary group of software engineers into an exceptionally productive team.
• More recently, I have been working in the technology innovation division of one of the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment management companies.
For the past four years, I have also been actively coaching software engineers and engineering leaders, helping them enjoy life more while pursuing ambitious career goals.
Personal strengths
• Ability to assess situations and problems from different perspectives
• Ability to empathise with others
• Strategic thinking
• Understanding of human psychology – why people do what they do
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentoring programme
Young people at the beginning of their careers do not always know what to expect. There are also many things that university simply cannot prepare them for.
I have been working in the IT industry for more than 14 years, and no two years have been the same. Every year has brought new lessons – from developing technical skills and moving towards leadership to experiencing professional burnout and learning how to deal with it.
However, the most important thing to learn throughout a career is understanding why you do what you do. This is exactly what I would like to help students with – finding their purpose in life and pursuing it with intention.
Interests and other information about me
My interests include healthy living, personal development, books, and travelling.
An interesting fact about me – I could not stand “studying” when I was at school. Today, I consider learning to be one of the most important skills.
Life motto – question everything.
