Previous workplaces and positions: CTO at Airvolve; Mechanical Design Engineer at Kongsberg NanoAvionics.
Areas of expertise and career experience: For most of my career, I have worked in roles related to mechanical engineering, research, and technology development. In this field, I have had the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative prototypes, including propulsion system valves created in cooperation with the European Space Agency and a new type of aircraft. I have also designed several satellites that are currently operating in space.
As my interest in business processes and the broader context of technology development grew, I gradually shifted my career towards project management, where I am now continuing to develop my expertise. Throughout my career, I have worked in companies ranging from 5 to more than 10,000 employees, so I have experienced different stages of organisational development, including fundraising, rapid growth, and the organic growth of a mature company.
Personal strengths: Curiosity, empathy, communication skills, and technical knowledge.
Expectations for students: I expect the mentee to have clearly defined personal goals, be curious, and be motivated to develop.
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentorship programme: Throughout my career, people who have dedicated their time to sharing knowledge and encouraging interest in their areas of expertise have been, and continue to be, very important to me. I believe that this kind of experience enriches university studies and can have a decisive impact on a student’s career choice or even future career success.
I would like to become part of this culture of sharing knowledge, experience, and motivation, not only as a former student but also as a mentor. Of course, mentoring will also be a major learning experience for me. I believe it will help me develop my leadership skills, identify areas for improvement, and motivate me to keep learning so that I can meet the expectations of talented students.
Interests and other information about me: I love cats and enjoy spending my free time actively through sports. I like attending comedy shows. I am interested in the history of furniture design and occasionally build things myself.
