Previous workplace and position: KTU – Junior Researcher.
Areas of expertise and career experience: I defended my doctoral dissertation in the field of technological sciences, in electrical and electronic engineering. My scientific and professional work is mainly related to digital signal processing and analysis, particularly human physiological signals such as electrocardiograms (ECG) and photoplethysmograms (PPG). I have experience in developing and applying signal processing algorithms, as well as modelling signals that reproduce characteristics typical of physiological signals.
I also have experience in planning and conducting scientific research, analysing and interpreting research results, preparing scientific publications, and presenting research findings at conferences. I have participated in national and international research projects.
Expectations for students: I expect active and open engagement in the mentoring process, a willingness to learn, and readiness to accept and discuss feedback.
My motivation/personal goal for participating in the mentoring programme: My goal is to spark students’ interest in biomedical engineering and research opportunities and encourage them to build a long-term connection with the Biomedical Engineering Institute. I would like to help students discover research areas that interest them, provide opportunities to undertake research internships, become involved in ongoing laboratory projects, and gradually build experience in scientific work.
