This educational programme is for talented KTU Bachelor students, who gain career competencies in the field of Financial Technology (FinTech), obtain wide-ranging life skills and financial benefits.
COMPETENCES IN THE FIELD OF FINTECH | You will acquire the academic and professional knowledge needed in the rapidly growing Financial Technology labour market through additional/enhanced study modules and presentations by company representatives. |
CHALLENGES | The programme focuses on the principle of Challenge Based Learning (CBL), which KTU promotes together with the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU). Therefore, you will participate in hackathons, business-based and SKILLed FinTech-based challenges. |
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES | You will attend a job shadowing practice, job interview simulation activities, career portfolio set-up training, advice and support from top-level Financial Technology sector career mentors. Upon completion of the programme, you will receive a SKILLed FinTech diploma alongside a personal recommendation and a competence portfolio! |

Studies will take place according to an individualised plan, which will be upgraded with enhanced study modules that provide knowledge in the field of Financial Technologies. SKILLed FinTech students typically have 36 credits per semester.
Studies will also be complemented by various educational and non-formal activities.

If you are a 1st-year Bachelor’s student of Applied Mathematics, Program Systems, Information Systems, Informatics, Economics, or Finance study programmes at Kaunas University of Technology, your National-level math exam results are higher or equal to 75 points, your University admission competitive score is 7 or higher, and are ready to become an expert in the field of Financial Technologies – apply to the SKILLed FinTech programme!

Fill in the participant’s form in the section “Competitions” of the Academic Information System (AIS) from the 21st of August to the 10th of September:

If successful, you will receive a letter confirming that you have passed to the 2nd stage of the competition on the 11th of September and thereafter be invited to a motivational interview. The second stage of the application process (the interview) will provide you with an immense opportunity to reveal your potential, willingness and motivation to become a student of the SKILLed FinTech programme.
Motivational interviews for the general submission will take place on the 12th-15th of September. We urge you to check your University’s e-mail regularly.
If you are accepted, you will receive a letter of confirmation for the SKILLed FinTech programme on the 18th of September. Get ready for a fascinating journey with SKILLed FinTech!
A digital badge can be obtained for participating in lectures and financial literacy training.
A digital badge can be obtained for giving a presentation to other SKILLed FinTech peers or interested parties.
A digital badge can be obtained for conducting creative workshops, lectures or seminars for other SKILLed students and interested parties.

The main period to submit your application for the SKILLed FinTech programme is between August-September.
The additional submissions for the SKILLed FinTech programme are conducted in January.

* You can apply for the program even if the final average of your semester results is not yet known. The final semester grades are confirmed at the end of January.
During the autumn semester of the 1st year of studying, SKILLed FinTech students are awarded 150 EUR/per month. Following the second semester of 1st year of study, SKILLed FinTech students’ scholarship increases to 300 EUR/per month. Whether the scholarship is awarded is dependant on his/her study results and participation in the programme.
After admission through the additional submission, a scholarship is awarded in the first semester only in rare cases.
You will receive a SKILLed FinTech diploma alongside a personal recommendation and a competence portfolio!
You will be a part of the educational program for the entire period of your Bachelor’s studies.
The majority of programme’s modules and activities are conducted in Lithuanian.
